A Brief Outline of our Improvement and Continuous Development Plan

We were deeply disappointed by the outcomes of the previous CQC report and do not believe this is now consistent with the constructive and positive feedback we regularly receive regarding the experiences of people who live and work across our service. However, we do seek to take on feedback in order to continuously improve. We are fully committed to a robust internal development plan which ensures we continue to drive the standards required by the CQC.

The Meath are confident with our ongoing commitment and investment of resources to improve, along with internal improvement workstreams; We are confident that the care and support provided to the people we support is of a safe, and well-led standard.

Key Improvements

Since the writing of our last CQC inspection report, as part of our continuous development, we have implemented the following key improvements:

  • A review of our Quality Assurance Process and implementation of regular QA service visits, to evaluate performance and agree on actions for ongoing improvements to the service we provide people.
  • Successful pharmacy and e mar transition- resulting in a modern and more efficient procurement, administration and reporting system
  • Appointment of new staff (non-statutory roles) which support our Quality & Compliance
  • Provided all Residential Managers with designated safeguarding lead training.
  • We continue to work closely with an external trainer to provide bespoke training to meet the needs of the people we support and ensure best practice.
