Day Services & Skills Centre

Our vibrant and enabling Skills Centre offers residents, supported living and day clients a wide range of exciting weekday activities and support.

Have you always wanted to join a choir? Need support for your fitness goal? Want to work on developing a life skill? Or perhaps you are looking for a creative outlet. Whatever your interests and goals, The Skills Centre team would love to hear from you and hope to help you develop your skills in a fun and sociable setting.

The Skills Centre

Sessions run Monday- Friday between 9.30am-4pm and are tailored to meet individual needs.

Our schedule of regular activities and support is designed to help the people we support to develop their social, physical, cognitive and emotional well-being to the best of their ability.

Extraordinary achievements are made at The Skills Centre every day and we are proud to have a dedicated space for the people we support to learn, create and develop together.

Day Services Testimonial

“Attending The Meath Skills Centre as day clients, has increased my sons’ independence and happiness immeasurably. They have made friends and are excited at the prospect of going when it’s their day to attend.”

The Hive

Our on-site café and social space

While The Skills Centre is where the people we support enjoy leaning and developing a broad range of skills, The Hive is our on-site place to meet, eat and thrive!

Meet

The people we support love to catch up with their peers to share news of latest achievements and progress and The Hive has a well-stocked selection of books, games and resources to enjoy together or borrow.

Eat

The Hive Café is open daily for healthy fresh snacks, freshly made smoothies and milkshakes, homemade cakes, great coffee and tasty healthy lunches. The Hive is a not-for-profit Meath social enterprise and prices are kept as low as possible to encourage everyone to join the buzz and enjoy a visit.

Thrive

Our friendly team of Hive Staff and Volunteers endeavour to make The Hive fully inclusive and fun for all. From regular featured artists exhibitions to Hive Helpers serving, assisting in the kitchen or helping to keep the Hive tidy and in check, we are proud to champion collaborative working with community volunteers and the wonderful people we support.

The Hive works closely with the dedicated Meath Occupational Therapy Team who deliver pre-entry ASDAN courses in Food Safety and Hazards in the Kitchen before the people we support progress to become Hive Helpers, regular Hive volunteers.
