Be supported

We are proud to support adults aged 19+ who live with complex Epilepsy, complex health care conditions and disabilities, and we offer a broad range of services.

Most of the people we support live in their home together with their peers at our on-site residential services. We also have Supported Living accommodation nearby in Godalming, where adults who are safely able to live a little more independently reside.

We also welcome day clients to The Meath for our day services at The Skills Centre where clients are supported to enjoy a wide range of educational, fitness and creative skills based activities.

Living at The Meath

Residents have their own bedrooms, which they are encouraged to personalise. In the social spaces, such as a kitchen, dining room and lounge, everyone gathers to prepare meals, eat, chat and enjoy each other’s company. Every resident is supported with household responsibilities such as meal planning, shopping and food preparation.

Outside of their home, the people we support take part in regular weekly day time group activities at our dedicated on-site Skills Centre. At quieter times, or for a lunch time treat, The Hive Cafe is a popular place to catch up with friends.

The Skills Centre and The Hive team, together with colleagues from across The Meath, are proud to deliver a range of social events outside of day time opening hours.

Daily Life for Meath Residents

During weekdays residents are typically busy enjoying their choice of sessions at the Skills Centre or at external settings. During downtime they often enjoy a movie or pamper evening together, heading out to local attractions.

Weekends usually have a more relaxed pace and often include a trip out, a fortnightly visit to our on-site Café – The Hive – for ‘Social Saturday mornings’ or simply getting out in the great outdoors.

Safety

Keeping Residents Safe

Our dedicated team of residential staff are supported by our Health and Wellbeing team to deliver personalised, round the clock care. Attentive staff, modern monitoring systems and assistive technology allow each resident to make the most of each day. Seizure monitoring systems are used throughout our buildings to ensure that everyone feels safe while maintaining privacy.
