Health and Wellbeing

The Health & Wellbeing team work closely with both Meath care givers and external specialists to champion and review the medical needs of the people we support.

The Health and wellbeing team provide Epilepsy expertise, co-ordination of regular on site GP clinics, and support with the dissemination of medical information and updates to the wider staff team.

Life Skills

Our dedicated Life Skills leader supports residents/Supported Living clients to engage in meaningful group activities which champion the application of skills developed at our on site Skills Centre.

Group sessions aim to promote social inclusion, self advocacy, team work, problem solving, literacy and oracy. Many of the people we support are proud to have achieved qualifications in ASDAN accredited Life Skills short courses in a variety of topics.

Sensory Sessions

Sensory sessions offer a calming yet exploratory space for the people we support who have higher needs. Sessions enable participants to enhance focus yet reduce stress in a safe, controlled and sensory-rich environment.

"Jess is well cared for and is very content at home at The Meath. Jess has complex needs and requires 1:1 support to perform the simplest of everyday tasks. In addition to her complex needs being met, she really wants someone to give her time and attention. We are thrilled to see this happening at The Meath, it has such a positive impact on her quality of life."
